I spent three days this month at the Games for Health conference in Baltimore. It is amazing and gratifying to see how far this field as come in the past several years. Lots of interesting new games, health-realted groups looking to build games, and reports of the efficacy of particular games in the health field and even funders. Exergaming, in particular is really coming into its own, with lots of new products and approches.
My favorite of the conference: MTVu's recently launched game "Pos or Not" , a simple HIV-awareness guessing game designed to change college kids' perceptions about who has HIV-AIDs. Addictive and viral. If you are interested in spreading serious games, study this carefully.
