Listening to Kids

Marc believes that listening more carefully to the kids (and acting on what they tell us) is one of the most important ingredients to improving education. He therefore conducts student panels in as many of his talks as possible.

Important things kids have told panels:

“You think of technology as tools. We think of it as a foundation—it underlies everything we do.”

“In olden days, you had to memorize phone numbers”

“When I go to school I have to power down.”

“Outside of school I think and make decisions. In school I just follow directions.”
