Have begun to describe and implement “PLAN B” Education: Education to Improve the World — a new and better alternative for third millennium education by:

Helped change the world’s vision of corporate training by:

-Designing and building the world’s first first-person-shooter games for business, with clients distributing over 1 million copies in multiple languages.
-Creating and selling over 50 original electronic learning games on a variety of platforms to 50+ corporate and government clients including DARPA (SBIR Phase II) & ten Fortune 100 companies, including cell phone-based learning games, and a multi-player web-based compliance training system using popular game interfaces.
-Founding, and running as CEO for 10 years, a boutique software games company (spun out from Banker’s Trust) specializing in corporate training games.
-Designing and building an award-winning Financial Literacy Game for H.S. students.
-Being named a “Visionary” in the training field by Training magazine in 2000.

1993-1999 BANKERS TRUST COMPANY, NEW YORK, NY

=Generated over $1 million in software sales as an “intra-preneur” by conceiving and creating “Corporate Gameware,” a Bankers Trust-owned game-based e-learning business that created and sold world’s first video game for corporate compliance and a series of trading games for financial derivatives.
-Satisfied an SEC mandate, as Vice President, Human Resources and Technology, to increase compliance training completion by designing and creating successful video-game-based software for Bankers Trust’s derivatives traders.

1988-1993 MICROMENTOR, INC. (Multimedia Corporate Training), CAMBRIDGE, MA

-Generated $2 million in sales (as Vice President, Marketing, Research and Technology), by starting new multimedia e-learning product line.
-Moved company from custom software to higher margin off-the-shelf products.
-Designed and created first multimedia e-learning products for top-tier consulting firms, business schools, and companies.
-Ran multi-firm R&D collaborative.

1981-1987 THE BOSTON CONSULTING GROUP, BOSTON, MA

=Generated new studies worth over $1 million — as BCG’s first Product Development Director — by creating and marketing internally a series of multi-language electronic tools for use by BCG’s consulting teams around the world.
-Created new business strategies resulting in major profitability improvements at several well-known Fortune 100 companies as a BCG Consultant.

1980-1981 TIME-LIFE FILMS, NEW YORK, NY

-Reined in runaway film and TV production budgets by creating a new Management Information System, as Assistant to the Vice President of Production Planning.

-Created a plan, as summer intern to the Chairman, for reorganization of the maintenance department for the Shubert Organization’s 17 Broadway theaters.

1973-1978 PROFESSIONAL CONCERT MUSICIAN, NEW YORK, NY

-Performed as solo recitalist in US and Europe, on lute and classical guitar.
-Performed on stage on Broadway in musical CYRANO, starring Christopher Plummer.
-Performed at Alice Tully Hall and on tour as member of NY RENAISSANCE BAND.
-Performed in the NY CITY OPERA orchestra in works by Monteverdi and Cavalli.

1971-1973 CITIBANK STREET ACADEMY, EAST HARLEM, NY

-Co-directed a storefront school for high school dropouts, sponsored by the New York City Board of Education, The Urban League, and Citibank, getting approx. 50 students per year off the streets and back into school.
-Hired and supervised 18-person staff.
-Trained and evaluated teachers.
-Taught math and reading. Planned, secured and administered quarter million dollar budget.

1968-1971 BENJAMIN FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL, EAST HARLEM, NY

-Helped create team-teaching “cluster” program to address underserved student needs at a New York City public high school.
-Taught General Math, Algebra, Geometry, and a special reading program. Earned permanent certification as a New York City teacher.
