Seeing Beyond Means…

Freeing yourself from old beliefs…

Getting a new sense of the “future possible.” It means looking BEYOND the technologies and toys to their positive use.  It is being willing to accept new paradigms and perspectives — about yourself, about adults, about kids, about society

…listening to youth…

Our kids are the future. They will shape their world more than we will. A prime way Marc “sees BEYOND…”  is through his deep contacts with youth. Marc is especially good at is talking with kids, and eliciting their hidden ideas—which are many, and good. One of Marc’s central observations is how badly we (mostly unconsciously) treat our kids — we disrespect them, under-appreciate them and truly under-estimate what they can.do.
WE think we listen — but THEY think we don’t.

People can see things that look the same on the surface, and  not realize they are now different underneath. 
The prime example is our kids,. If we look at them differently, we will do different things.

About Marc 

Marc Prensky, is best known for coining the terms “Digital Native” and “Digital Immigrant” (both now in the Oxford English Dictionary.)
Marc is an award-winning, internationally-acclaimed keynote speaker, author, (8 books) writer (over 100 articles and essays), and “practical visionary”.  He is the founder and Executive Director of The Global Future Education Foundation and the creator of the TWO BILLION KIDS PROJECT.
Marc has spoken in over 40 countries. His writing has been translated into a dozen languages. Marc’s book, Education to Better Their World: Unleashing the Power of 21st Century Kids, won a FOREWORD INDIES Book of the Year Award Gold Prize. His latest book is BELIEFS FOR 21st C. KIDS, a free ebook.
Marc’s background includes teaching at all levels, six years at the Boston Consulting Group, and 12 years as founder and CEO of a videogame development company. He has been a professional musician and has acted on Broadway. He holds degrees from Oberlin College, Middlebury College, Yale University and the Harvard Business School.
